Karela United F.C. extended their unbeaten run with a convincing 2-0 victory over Eleven Wonders F.C. in Matchweek 23 of the Ghana Premier League at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.
The win marks Karela’s third straight win, consolidating their place in the top half of the table.
Nurudeen Amadu’s men asserted their authority from the onset, launching wave after wave of attacks that eventually paid off. They were awarded a penalty in the 34th minute, which Felix Morto calmly converted to hand the visitors the lead. Eric Antwi doubled the advantage on the stroke of half-time, finishing neatly in the 45th minute to put Karela firmly in control.
Karela managed the second half professionally, dominating possession and restricting Eleven Wonders’ attempts at a comeback to seal a comfortable victory.
The result sees Karela maintain their position to (seventh) on the table with 34 points, while Eleven Wonders remain rooted to the bottom with just nine points as relegation concerns deepen.
Karela will next travel to face Bechem United in Matchweek 24, while Eleven Wonders return home to host Nations FC.
