The Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) has announced a planned power outage in parts of Weija, Kasoa, and nearby communities on Sunday, 25 May, to enable critical maintenance at the Kasoa Bulk Supply Point.
The exercise, scheduled between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., is aimed at enhancing power reliability and improving service delivery in the affected areas.
In a statement issued on Thursday, 22 May, GRIDCo listed the communities expected to be affected. These include:
Kpormotey, Kalabule, Adaakope, Amuzu Kope, Amanfrom, Denchira, Ashalaja, Adam Nana, Nurses Quarters, Kwame Anum, Kuwait, Lamgma, Fulani, Mama Africa, Broadcasting, and surrounding areas.
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), in an accompanying message, apologised for the inconvenience the planned works may cause.
“ECG regrets the inconvenience that will arise out of this exercise,” the statement read.
GRIDCo has encouraged residents in the affected communities to plan accordingly, assuring that the scheduled maintenance is vital to ensuring a more stable and efficient power supply in the long term.
