Accra Hearts of Oak have completed the signing of midfielder Malik Akowuah on a three year deal.
The deal to sign the midfielder from Medeama represents a major coup for the Phobians as they aim to end their wait for a league title.
Akowuah, a controlling midfielder from deep positions, is expected to beef up the Phobian midfield alongside regulars Mustapha Essuman and Sarbah Laryea to give the Phobians a massive push.
A statement by the club confirmed his move:
“Accra Hearts of Oak is delighted to announce the signing of Malik Akowuah from Medeama.
The midfielder has signed a three-year deal with the club.
The Public Relations Officer of Accra Hearts of Oak said: “Malik is one of the best players in the country at the moment and it gives us great pleasure to have him with us. He is a very good midfielder and I am confident he will be a great player for us.”
He is expected to join his team mates in preseason in the coming days as they prepare for the G6 tournament.
