The Ho Municipal Hospital in the Volta Region has suspended operations at its Accident and Emergency and out patients departments after two patients tested positive for Covid-19.
This was to make way for a disinfection exercise at the two departments to prevent possible spread of the virus.

According to Hospital authorities, operations at the departments would fully resume by Saturday, May 22.
One of the patients who tested positive for coronavirus reported for a review after being treated for malaria, while the other patient was referred from a smaller facility.
They both reported at the facility on Wednesday, and have since been moved to the isolation centre in Ho for treatment.

Meanwhile, a total of 33 Staff who came into contact with the patients have been asked to self-isolate for 14 days, as they wait for their COVID-19 test results, to determine their status.
Management of the Ho Municipal Hospital ,however, assured the public of their safety, hence not to panic and refuse to access healthcare at the facility.
