Founder of Danquah Institute, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, has reacted to calls on government to #FixTheCountry.

In a Facebook post, he said, "I don’t know about you, but I miss the NDC in power. Those times when every year petrol prices went up by a quarter. When electricity and water prices also did their best to compete – on top of school fees. They knew how to fix prices."

This comment follows the #FixTheCountry trend on social media recently.

The hashtag gained popularity on social media after the youth of the country issued a clarion call on government to fix the many challenges in the country including unemployment, health system, the high cost of rent, fuel prices, poor road networks among others.

Many Ghanaian celebrities have joined in the #FixTheCountry online movement and are holding government accountable in these areas of governance so as to safeguard the future of the country and its citizens.

Lawyer Okyere-Darko, however, believes fixing the country is the collective responsibility of the citizenry.

He, thus, has called on every member of the country to be proactive in fixing the country.
