The landlord who shot and killed his tenant at Ofankor in the Greater Accra Region over rent issues has said he did so in self-defence.
The Police are currently investigating why Victor Steve Nana Kankam allegedly shot and killed Benjamin Okyere over for allegedly refusing to move out of a 2 bedroom apartment following the expiration of his rent.

But the suspect told JOYNEWS the act was in self-defence.
"Although I am not supposed to talk to you without legal representation, all I can say is that I shot him [tenant] in self-defence," he said.
The deceased, 31, is popularly known as Trillionaire is a budding musician known for his album Pon Dem.
But sister and father of Benjamin Okyere are demanding swift action revealing they saw signs of the action.
The angry youth of the area went berserk and set fire on Mr Kamkam's property.
Steve Nana Kamkam has been remanded in police custody and he will be tested for coronavirus. He will reappear in court on June 8.
