Alan Kyerematen, a presidential hopeful and one of the aspirants contesting the flagbearership of the NPP has pledged his commitment at making sure that polling station executives and other executives of the party will be paid monthly salaries for their dedication to the development and progress of the party.
Mr. Alan Kyerematen was speaking at a rally organized in his honor by various constituencies in Ho.
He noted that it was necessary that executives of the party especially at the polling stations should be paid for their hard work and support to the party.

He noted that the grassroots people are the ones who are even more dedicated to the good course of the NPP and must be paid to motivate them to even do more.
Mr. Kyerematen noted that it is sad that most of these grassroots executives and leaders who suffer for the party are left with nothing despite their dedication to the party hence the need to have them placed on monthly salaries if he becomes the flagbearer of the party and eventually becomes the president
He urged the delegates of the party in the Volta region to select a candidate who can improve the lives of polling station executives and their growth.
He noted that the polling station executives may never become government officials or ambassadors and the only way to make them happy is to pay the polling station executives to at least make them know they are also cherished and thought of in the party.
"Why should polling station executives and other executives at the grassroots levels work for the party and not be paid salaries, it is not fair because the polling station executives may never become government officials and so the only way to help the grassroots people enjoy and benefit is to make sure the they are all paid monthly salaries," Alan said

He noted that government funds will not be used to pay the polling station executives but rather he will provide businesses and other ways to that.
He noted that he has some years ago raised funds for constituencies and for some dedicated individuals to establish businesses and he will do even more if he is given the mandate to lead the party in 2024.
He said he has the plans and the means to make sure that the grassroots who toiled to bring the party to power are well paid and compensated.
He also noted that it is very important to make the welfare of the grassroots people and the polling station executives paramount to the party and he is pledging to make sure that it is implemented.
Some of the delegates present described Mr. Kyerematen as the savior of Ghana and the party especially at this time that Ghanaians crave for more. According to them it is time for the party to have someone who can improve the lives of the people of Ghana and bring more development to the country.
"The country at this crucial time needs a very dedicated and selfless leader who has the interest of the people at heart and who can truly develop the country," one delegate said.
He started his campaign from the southern part of the Volta Region and will end at the Oti region.
He is accompanied by some party gurus like the MP for Hohoe, John Peter Amewu, former regional secretary of the NPP, Joseph Homenya, the Ho Central constituency chairman, Frank Ahaze, Yaw Buaben Asamoah, MP for Bortiano Englishi Amanfro, Sylvester Tetteh, former tourism minister, Catherine Afeku, Carlos Ahinkra and Boniface Sadiq among many others.
