Chairman for Africa Regional Mechanism for Major groups and other stakeholders, now installed as Chief of Toase-Wioso, Nana Kwakwah Ababio II has pledged to prioritise education at Toase-Wioso to complement sustainable development goal 16.
Speaking at his installation as substantive Chief of Toase-Wioso community in the Atwima Nwabiagya North municipality, Nana Kwakwah Ababio II said he will take a cue from the experience he gained at the United Nation to ensure that education in the community is made paramount.
Known in his private life as Daniel Kofi Kankam, he is also a convener for the Ghana Civil Society Organisation Platform at the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA).
Nana Kwakwah Ababio II also served as African Regional Coordinator of Action for Sustainable Development and Africa’s representative of High-Level Political Forum Coordination Mechanism, among others.
He promised to invest in the educational system by ensuring that, the community gets Junior High, Senior High School, and possibly tertiary institutions.
He called on stakeholders and the youth in the community to champion the welfare of the people and improve health and sanitation conditions for the benefit of the community.

On the issue of toilet facility, Nana Kwakwah Ababio II noted that he would ensure there is a modern toilet facility and a clinic.
Nana Kwakwah Ababio II expressed gratitude to the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and Nana Baffuor Twetwapa Anantahene for endorsing his selection.
He also commended the community for the confidence reposed in him to serve them.
