Samuel Inkoom will join his Black Satellites colleagues in Egypt on Thursday ahead of their opening match at the WYC against Uzbekistan on Sunday.
The right back had a hard time convincing his club side Basle that it is worth going to Egypt for the World Youth Championships.
But KickOffGhana.com reports the GFA and the Swiss club have come to an agreement that will let Inkoom travel to Cairo on Thursday after playing in a local league game on Wednesday night.
Clubs are not obliged to release players for the World Under-20 event and that meant Sellas Tetteh had to prepare for the championships without some of his key players.
Inkoom is likely to play a key role for the Black Satellites at right back as they chase a first title at this level after twice finishing as runners up.
