Jeffrey Schlupp made his 169th appearance in the Premier League over the weekend surpassing Michael Essien’s record of 168.
Schlupp achieved the feat of becoming the Ghanaian with the most appearances in the Premier League after playing 70 minutes against Sheffield United.
The midfielder now has two more appearances than Crystal Palace team mate Jordan Ayew who has 167.
Schlupp joined Crystal Palace in 2017 and has since played in 109 Premier League games for the Eagles.
Prior to signing for Palace, Schlupp played for Leicester City where he won the Premier League.
He played in 60 Premier League games for the Foxes scoring four goals and providing four assists.
The Ghanaian midfielder signed a contract extension with Palace last year and will be looking forward to making more appearances in the league.
