The changing nature of Ghana’s labour market is pushing employers to rely increasingly on digital platforms to identify and recruit skilled workers, as businesses expand, adopt new technologies and compete for talent.

Against this backdrop, Jobs.com.gh is positioning itself as a digital recruitment marketplace designed to connect employers, recruitment agencies and job seekers.

The platform, formerly known as GhanaCareers, has adopted the shorter Jobs.com.gh identity as it seeks to serve a broader section of Ghana’s employment ecosystem.

The platform provides employers with an avenue to advertise vacancies to a wider pool of candidates, while allowing job seekers to access opportunities across sectors and locations.

Its Jobs.com.gh Jobs platform is expected to cater for a broad range of positions, from executive and professional roles to technical, sales, graduate and operational jobs.

Recruitment agencies are also being incorporated into the platform’s model, allowing them to advertise vacancies and source candidates for clients.

This means companies can use the platform for direct recruitment while agencies can simultaneously tap into its candidate pool when filling specialised positions.

The expansion of digital recruitment comes as businesses in sectors including technology, construction, manufacturing, hospitality and retail face changing workforce requirements.

Jobs.com.gh says its objective is to provide a common marketplace where different categories of employers and candidates can connect more efficiently.

Management believes the new name will also make the platform easier to identify in an increasingly crowded digital recruitment space.

“There should be very little explanation required when someone hears Jobs.com.gh. The name itself tells employers and candidates exactly what the platform is about,” management said.

The company says its next phase will focus on improving the interaction between employers and candidates while building confidence in the platform as a source of genuine opportunities and relevant talent.

The transition from GhanaCareers to Jobs.com.gh therefore marks an expansion of its recruitment-marketplace model rather than simply a change of name.
