Ghanaian boxer John Laryea has commenced training with Ring Magazine Trainer of the Year 2024, Robert Garcia.
The two-time WBO Featherweight champion is currently in the US where he is continuing his preparations ahead of his second international fight.
Laryea will be under the tutelage of Garcia for the next weeks looking to hone his skills in the game before his team from Ghana joins him for his next fight.
Garcia has been a success story in the last few years as he has been behind the victories of Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez and Jose “Rayo” Valenzuela.
Laryea will be with the Robert Garcia Boxing Academy after his departure from Ghana last Thursday to California.
Laryea, who fought Nicaragua's Alexander Mejia in November 2024 in his first international bout, is expected to return to the ring soon in the US.
He sees the opportunity as a massive investment in his craft by his management and his camp.
