The CEO of JRA Cosmetics, Jane Reason Akushika Ahadzie, has been named the Industrialist of the Year at the 2021 Ghana Agriculture and Agro-processing awards organized in Accra last Friday.
Her company, JRA Cosmetics, producers and distributors of cosmetic products was also adjudged the Outstanding Manufacturing Innovation Company of the Year.
The Awards ceremony, which was organized by KN Unique Communications, is an annual event that recognises outstanding companies and individuals in the Agriculture and Agro-processing sectors.
The awards is also meant to promote the standard, Excellence and innovations in the Agribusiness.
In all, 26 companies and four individuals were rewarded for their contributions to the sectors at the event.
Other awards categories included; Outstanding Food Ingredients producer of the year, Outstanding Agro Inputs Company of the Year, Agro Brand of the Year and Outstanding Horticultural Seeds Company of the Year.
The event was attended by the former Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, Elizabeth Afoley Quaye and Abdulfatah Ahmed Khali Alsattari, the Consular of the Palestine Embassy in Ghana.
Mrs. Jane Reason Akushika Ahadzie dedicated the award to her hardworking staff and said she was grateful for the honour done her and promised to expand her business and offer her customers with more innovative brands to meet their needs.
She said her company started as a small-scale enterprise and grew into a fully-fledged company with innovative and widely accepted branded products that created jobs for the many unemployed youth in Ghana and Africa at large.
Mrs. Afoley Quaye who presented the award to Mama JRA said there was the need for Every organization to strive to achieve excellence within the agricultural and agro-processing sectors for the greater good of the country's economy.
She encouraged investors to explore different opportunities in the fisheries and aquaculture sectors as well as the agriculture sectors investments in the country…
