Asante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito expressed satisfaction with his team's 1-0 win over Berekum Chelsea in the MTN FA Cup semifinals on Sunday.
Albert Amoah's goal in the 82nd minute secured Kotoko's spot in the final.
Speaking after the match, Zito said his plan was to win before full time, avoiding penalties.
"With the FA Cup, you don't have two options. So our plan was to win before 90 minutes, but if it goes, I don't want to go to penalties," he said.
"So seriously, I was very cautious at the back and tried to score occasionally."
"So that was my plan, and I succeeded in executing it."
Kotoko will now face Division One side Golden Kicks in the final, seeking their 10th FA Cup title.
