The outspoken NPP Member of Parliament for Assin North, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong says Alfred Agbesi Woyome has caused Ghana up to GHS1.3 trillion and he must be made to pay back that money.
He was speaking at a press conference organized by the New Patriotic Party to prove that some fraud went on in the payment of GHC42 million of state money to Alfred Woyome.
Mr. Agyapong who has vowed to expose Alfred Woyome, was the first to go public on the said payment to Woyome after the latter called for his arrest for saying Ghana would be like Rwanda in 2012.
"Alfred Woyome has caused this country 1.3 trillion Cedis which needs to be retrieved at all cost," Kennedy Agyapong claimed.
He swore on his life that even if Alfred Woyome dies, he (Agyapong) would ensure that Woyome’s bones will be tried in court.
"I want Woyome to know that I'm wiser than him and I don’t use my wisdom to dupe the state," Agyapong said.
Mr. Agyapong said in the coming days he will expose more information about some dubious activities of Alfred Woyome.
Kennedy Agyapong said Alfred Woyome should be prosecuted and jailed along with one Terry Conny, Chief Executive Officer for two companies: Waterville and Michelleti, which signed the contract with the government for the renovation of the three stadia prior to CAN 2008.
He said Terry Conny has caused financial loss to the state through his dubious contracts, saying that the government paid Terry Conny GHS 25 million for no job done.
Mr. Agyapong noted that the money could have been used to purchase school chairs for pupil, but one person has taken such colossal amounts without working for it.
Kennedy Agyapong therefore condemned politicians who kowtow to the whims and caprices of white people.
"Any politician who kisses a whiteman’s a** whether you are a president or a parliamentarian, you are an idiot," Kennedy Agyapong angrily stated.
Kennedy Agyapong called on President Mills to act swiftly on this matter because the President has pledged his government’s commitment to fighting corruption.
