Kessben FC's great start to the season continued at the Ohene Djan Stadium with the defeat of Liberty Professionals 1-0 in the Glo Premier League.
Hans Kwoffie's lone goal ensured that Bashir Hayford's side maintained their 100 percent start to the new season as they leapfrog champions Aduana Stars to lead the table.
The defeat keeps Liberty rooted to the bottom of the table after three matches as they are yet to register a goal this season.
Aduana failed to claim the three points at home as Hearts of Oak managed a goalless draw against the champions at the Dormaa Park though coach of the Phobians was left disappointed with the point earned.
"We created enough chances and especially in the final minutes of the game, we should have scored. Aduana were OK but didn't create much [chances].
"Even though we have a point from this game, I'm disappointed. After three games, I think our record so far reads as average but we need to build on it," coach Paa Kwesi Fabin said after the game in Dormaa.
At the Baba Yara Stadium, Alex Asamoah's goal just under 40 seconds into the start of the game ensured Asante Kotoko finished as 1-0 winners against Mighty Jets.
But the debutants would feel hard done by after missing numerous goal scoring chances in the encounter.
Sowah Nortey's first half strike condemned AshantiGold to a 1-0 defeat at the Wa Park as All Stars picked all the three points to go second on the standings.
Debutants, B.A. Stars' impressive run continued at home where they beat Real Tamale United 1-0 with Larbi Koomson giving the Brong-Ahafo side all three points.
Chelsea won the Berekum derby, beating Arsenals 2-0 at the Golden City Park with goals coming from Obed Owusu and Moro Awudu.
Heart of Lions sealed a 2-1 victory over Ebusua Dwarfs at the Robert Mensah Stadium. Daniel Acquaye equalized Mustapha Douglas' opener for Dwarfs before Sherif Danlandi scored the winner in the second half.
New Edubiase and King Faisal shared the spoils at the Gyemfis Park in Bekwai, drawing 2-2.
Fuseini Nuhu and Abubakari scored the goals for Edubiase while Daniel Addo and Abdul Wahab scored Faisal's goals to wrap the weekend's match-day-3 action.
