In a profound reaffirmation of its commitment to Ghana's sporting excellence, KGL Group, Ghana’s leading wholly-owned indigenous conglomerate with interests in Technology Innovation, Fin-Tech, Logistics, Trade, Property Development, Gaming, and Commerce, has once again reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the development of sports in Ghana, the group has signed a landmark two-year sponsorship agreement worth GHS 20 million with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to support the Black Stars.
This renewed partnership reflects the positive impact of continuous calls by national leadership, particularly the Honorable Minister of Sports and Recreation, Hon. Kofi Adams, for greater corporate Ghana involvement in advancing sports development across the country. It also stands as a response to the rallying call from the President of the Republic, John Dramani Mahama urging corporate Ghana to "bring back the love" for the Black Stars and rekindle the spirit of national unity and pride through sports.

At the official signing ceremony, the Executive Chairman of KGL Group, Mr. Alex Apau Dadey, emphasized that this renewed sponsorship agreement was not only about corporate sponsorship, a mere afterthought or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) checkbox, but as a central pillar of answering a national call to action.
“At KGL Group, we believe that sports is a fundamental force for national transformation — inspiring discipline, resilience, unity, and community pride," Mr. Dadey stated.
"We are proud to contribute to Ghana's sporting journey and to be part of the broader national movement to restore pride and belief in the Black Stars."
Mr. Dadey also took the opportunity to express deep gratitude to key figures whose advocacy and leadership have been instrumental in ensuring that this partnership comes to fruition.
"We are especially grateful to the Honorable Minister of Sports and Recreation, Hon. Kofi Iddie Adams, for spearheading conversations and negotiations between the KGL Group and GFA to come to this partnership agreement.
In a special tribute, Mr. Dadey acknowledged the enduring vision and advocacy of President H.E. John Dramani Mahama, whose contributions to promoting sports infrastructure, youth development, and excellence continue to inspire corporate institutions like KGL Group.
"We are deeply grateful to President John Dramani Mahama, whose legacy of prioritizing sports development reminds us of the critical role that investment and collaboration play in building national pride and nurturing future champions" Mr. Dadey added.
Beyond its support for the national team, KGL Group has been a firm believer in grassroots sports development. Through the KGL Foundation, the group sponsors the Inter-Regional U-17 Colts Championship, providing young talent from every corner of Ghana the opportunity to fostering young football talent from and creating a strong pipeline for future national teams.
Hon. Kofi Iddie Adams also commended the milestone, “We are thrilled to see corporate giants like KGL Group continue to invest in Ghana’s sports development.
