The family of an aspiring NDC Parliamentary Candidate for the Ashiaman Constituency has dispelled rumours that he died of kidney failure.
A statement by the family Monday said Emmanual Max-Voy died suddenly at the Ridge Hospital in Accra on August 4, after a short illness.
“The family wishes to state that Mr Max-Voy did not die through kidney failure as painted by certain individuals and some media houses,” Nathaniel Kofi Fiador, spokesperson for the Voryee, Norgbodzi and allied families said.
Until his demise, Mr Max-Voy was a member of the Finance Committee of the opposition party in the Greater Accra region and was the founder and CEO of Martin Luther King Jr Co. Ltd.
The family said a book of condolences will be opened to the general public at Martin Luther King Jr. School, Lebanon branch and New Happy Home Academy, Ashaiman New-Town from August 6 to 10.
