Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) successfully contained a fire outbreak that affected a 14-room, one-storey building at Ashaiman in Greater Accra on Saturday.
The incident occurred at the house located at House Number 51 on Nii Amui Street at Ashaiman.
Firefighters from the Ashaiman Fire Station arrived at the scene at 9:01 am following the distress call.
Due to the intensity of the fire, additional support was requested from the Tema Motorway and Tema Metro Fire Stations.
By 10:00 am, firefighters had brought the fire under control, managing to salvage 11 rooms and five stores within the structure.
Three rooms and their contents were completely destroyed, while two others sustained partial damage.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is yet to be established. GNFS says investigations are underway.
