A seven-member jury is expected to be constituted at the Accra High Court Wednesday to hear a case of rape brought against Kwesi Kyei Darkwah (KKD).
This means the ace broadcaster will today come face-to-face with the persons who will determine his fate in the 5-month long legal tussle.
KKD is standing trial for allegedly raping 19-year-old Ewuraffe Orleans Thompson at a hotel washroom.
He has denied the charge of rape, maintaining his sexual encounter with the teenager was with her consent.
In March this year, state prosecutors said they have gathered enough evidence to proceed with the case against the ace broadcaster.
Malike Woanyo, the prosecutor, told the court the state had enough evidence to commit KKD to trial, adding a bill of indictment had already been served on the accused.
She, therefore, prayed the court for more time to constitute the jury in order for the trial to begin.
But her request incensed lawyer for KKD, Tony Forson, who said the state prosecutor failed to inform him about the decision, especially when he had prepared to court hoping proceedings will begin.
Meanwhile, lawyers for the ace broadcaster have secured a court order compelling Nyaho clinic to produce, within fourteen days, the medical records of the alleged victim.
The alleged rape victim was first attended to at the clinic when the story broke.
The High Court also ordered the police to furnish KKD's lawyers with details of their findings so far.
