Ghana’s very own Kojo Junior brought a touch of Ghanaian energy and creativity to the recently concluded second edition of the MAGGIVerse in Lagos, Nigeria.
The two-day conference, organized by MAGGI, aimed to empower and connect food content creators from across West and Central Africa, while spotlighting innovation within the region’s growing culinary content scene.
As a panelist, Kojo Junior represented Ghana with his signature charisma, joining other African creators for a discussion titled “The Palette of Digital Content.”
The panel explored the rise of food content in Africa, challenges around monetization, creative growth, and the evolving art of culinary storytelling.
The award-winning influencer shared his creative journey and practical insights, emphasizing the value of evolution and connection in content creation.
“There’s been an improvement in my content, I just started adding subtitles, so that’s good for me," he said.
He explained that the new approach allows fans outside Ghana to better engage with his videos and enjoy his blend of humor, culture, and food.
Kojo Junior also served as one of the judges on “The MAGGI Faceoff,” a live cooking competition that highlighted emerging culinary talent.
The winner of the contest received ₦500,000 and a scholarship to a prestigious culinary school, underscoring MAGGI’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of food innovators.
Known for his witty Twi voiceovers and magnetic personality, Kojo Junior, born Peter Kojo Appiadu, has become a standout figure in Ghana’s content creation space.
He seamlessly merges culinary art with humor and relatable social commentary, earning him a strong following and collaborations with major brands such as Maggi, Coca-Cola, Pepsodent, Telecel, KFC, Bolt, Indomie, Kivo, Star, GoTV, and ALX Ghana.
His fast-growing cookout series, “Kojo Junior and Friends,” has evolved from a small, intimate food show into a viral sensation.
The show, which now garners over 1.5 million views on TikTok, blends food, music, and celebrity interactions.
It has featured popular names such as MOLIY, Olivetheboy, Arathejay, Ayisi, Ko-Jo Cue, Mr Drew, Babs Cardini, and Dancegod Lloyd, among others.
Kojo Junior’s presence at MAGGIVerse 2025 not only marked a personal milestone but also highlighted Ghana’s rising creative influence on the continent.
His blend of humor, authenticity, and culinary artistry perfectly captured the spirit of the event, positioning him as a true ambassador for Africa’s new wave of food content creators.
