The South Dayi MP has asked the Founder of the Atta-Mills Institute, Koku Anyidoho, to desist from peddling what he sees as falsehoods about the state of the tomb of former President John Evans Atta Mills.
According to Rockson Dafeamekpor, the grave of the late statesman is made of marble stone which is contrary to the ‘wooden box’ Mr Anyidoho claims.
“How come we will decide to remodel the Asomdwee Park to the extent that it is affecting the nature and character of the grave and tombstone? If anybody says that the existing grave is not made of marble stone, is a big lie," he said on Wednesday.
This comes amidst a simmering feud between the family of the late President and Mr Anyidoho over the state of the resting place of Mr Atta Mills.
Brother of the Former President, Samuel Atta Mills, had accused Mr Anyidoho of tampering with the grave of their kin.

“Now that you have gone to touch it, is the body still in that grave? What did you put in the grave? What kind of ritual did you perform over there? Why would you go and touch the grave without informing us? Who has the body now? And that is the question I want to ask Ghanaians. Do you want to make us go through grief every time?”
But, Mr Anyidoho, dismissed the claims by the family.
He explained that the state is restoring the dignity of the late President’s burial grounds.
“It was just a wooden box, an ugly wooden box that was used to cover the thing by John Mahama and we have removed it and replaced it with granite stone and Sammy Atta Mills says what?” Mr Anyidoho reacted.
But speaking about it on the JoyNews’ AM Show, Mr Dafeamekpor said the Founder of Atta-Mills Institute is just being a busy-body for not involving the relatives of the late statesman.
“How does anybody expect that you can get up and go to Asomdwee Park with a cutlass and go and clear without having clearance from the National Security or security apparatus of the office of the President?
“Koku has no basis, he is my brother but the kind of comments he is making is fallacious,” he said on Wednesday.
