New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer hopeful, Engineer Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, has pledged to roll out a comprehensive land reform programme aimed at addressing land litigation and strengthening property ownership across the country.
Speaking during an unveiling ceremony of his Six-Pillar Vision to govern the country when given the mandate, Ing. Agyepong said his proposed reforms would prioritise efficient land title registration to curb the perennial disputes that continue to undermine genuine land ownership and investor confidence.
According to him, a transparent and accessible land titling system would not only reduce protracted legal battles but also empower citizens to leverage property as a source of personal wealth and economic security.
"My presidency will launch a comprehensive land reform and transparent compensation framework. We will cut bureaucracy, facilitate the land title registration to unlock capital and create personal wealth," he said.
"This will end the protracted land cases that have choked our court system and release the vast potential trapped in our arable land," he added.
