Highlife artiste, Kwabena Kwabena has disclosed his secret to staying relevant in the music industry.
“A good friend of mine told me that ‘Kwabena you are as good as your last hit’ and I think that’s very true. Because if your last hit was good, it means you’ll be sustained until your next hit,” he told Mamavi Owusu-Aboagye on the Am Show, Thursday.
The ‘Enya Mi Ho’ hitmaker explained that having a hit song that lasts for many years keeps the artiste in the minds of fans and, in turn, helps to sustain the artiste in the industry.
“I always make sure that anything I release is of that high standard so that even if I’m not releasing yet, it’s still going to be something people can enjoy still,” he added.
Kwabena Kwabena mentioned the hit song ‘Adult Music’ released in 2013 as one such song still enjoying good airplay.
“So it all starts with the work, the studio, and everything that I put into the work,” he said.
The singer is hoping to release his next album titled 'Fa Me Saa’ (which translates as ‘Take me as I am’) in April 2020.
Kwabena Kwabena, known for his love songs like 'Dadie Anoma', 'Fakye', 'Kyere Wo Do' and others, is expected to perform at Joy FM’s Valentine’s day event dubbed ‘The Love Experience’.

Joy 99.7 FM is taking its listeners on a special love ride this Valentine with the event.
‘The Love Experience’ is expected to give patrons a lifetime romantic experience with their loved ones.
Ghana’s superstation is inviting patrons to come, wine and dine with their significant others on February 14 at the Labadi Beach Hotel.
Kwabena Kwabena and Becca will headline the event. A live band will play some of Ghana's most heartwarming love songs.
Patrons would not only get to enjoy back-to-back hit songs but would be given the chance to serenade loved ones during a special session.
Also, ‘The Love Experience’ will have the special love hunt and the ‘knowing me, knowing you’ segments as part of the highlights.
The biggest highlight is having patrons spend the night at the plush Labadi Beach Hotel and wake up to a beautiful breakfast while enjoying a sunrise on the beach.
MC for the night is Lexis Bill, the host of Joy FM’s DriveTime.

Rate is a cool GH₵2,000 for the full package including bed and breakfast and GH₵700 for the concert night with food and drinks.
