Accra’s pride in hospitality, Labadi Beach Hotel, has once again proven why they remain the best choice hotel for both local and foreign customers.
The prestigious hotel won three awards at the just ended 5th Ghana Hotels Association Awards.
The event, held in Accra on Saturday, January 22, 2022, saw Labadi Beach Hotel cruising home with a triple, including the topmost of the night – Hotel of the Year. The two other awards came in the categories of security and technology – Most Secured Hotel and Most Digitalized Hotel, respectively. These add to the rich history of awards and track record of the 5 star hotel, located on the coast of Accra with unrivaled serenity.
The Management of the thirty-year old hotel are excited and proud of their achievements in recent times, beating the odds presented against the hospitality sector since the emergence of covid-19. Labadi Beach Hotel, unlike many other hotels, has stood the test of time, diversifying their practices to meet current trends and demands of its customers. One such trend is the digitalization of services, which the hotel took home an award for.
Speaking on how it set the bar so high in digitalisation, Hotel Manager of Labadi beach hotel, David Eduaful admitted that ‘technology is key’.
"It's state-of-the-art user friendly website introduced only six months ago is enviable, a medium through which customers can easily communicate with the hotel, without exiting its confines. This was motivated by the quest to distant itself from being obsolete, stressing the hotel wants to remain “proudly local and fiercely global”.
Time changes, thus the hotel uses ‘point of sale’ system at all its transaction centers, as well as the much patronised MoMo system.
According to Mr. Eduaful, “these are some of the things that make us stand tall amongst our competitors.
An insightful breakdown of security protocols revealed how worthy it was to have come out tops at the Ghana Hotels Association Awards. Observation of Covid-19 protocols, installation and management of high-tech security scanners and cameras, are some of the security features the safety-oriented Labadi Beach Hotel holds in high esteem.
Mr. Eduaful explained, “we have a scanner right at our security entrance. No hotel in Ghana has a built-in scanner on the floor that will scan your car. We don’t use mirrors to check cars”. He also mentioned that the hotel refuses to compromise on safety thus, “we have CCTV cameras everywhere in terms of making sure our guests are safe”.
Described as “the old lady of the industry”, Labadi Beach Hotel was adjudged the best 5-star hotel at the awards ceremony.
It boasts of an impeccable service delivery to customers, one of an international standard, as well as a serene and comfortable natural environment with a beach front for relaxation. The hotel’s rich tasty meals that leaves one asking for more is certainly a vibrant contributing factor to it being adjudged the best hotel.
An excited Mr. David Eduaful believes the success at the 5th Ghana Hotels Association Awards was achieved as a collective effort.
He expressed heartfelt appreciation, saying, “we dedicate this award to our hardworking staff, the management team, our board of directors who have been very supportive and strong to ensure things are done correctly, our media partners JoyFM and we are very proud to have an awesome partnership with the Multimedia Group Limited. Above all, thanks to our customers. We are proud of them and we appreciate their patronage because without our customers, we don’t have a hotel. We appreciate all the feedback”.
Customers both home and abroad can look forward to an introduction of new and outstanding services at the 5-star hotel, as it is dedicated to exciting its customers with the highest standards of hospitality.
A three-decade existence, characterized by dynamism and innovation, with customer satisfaction as its premier focus is what Labadi Beach Hotel represents, and for this, you should always choose it.
