Benjamin Azamati surpassed Leo Myles Mills to become Ghana's fastest man after running a time of 9.97 seconds in 100 meters last Friday.

Azamati finished first in heat 8 of the Texas relays beating Mills' 22-year-old record of 9.98 seconds. In the process, the NCAADII athlete secured qualification to this summer's Olympic games in Tokyo.

Mills, who is now a sprinter coach has been speaking to Joy Sport's George Addo Jnr about Azamati.
