The Provost of the College of Health Sciences at the University of Ghana, Rev. Prof. P. F. Ayeh-Kumi, delivered a compelling message to the 2024 graduating cohort of Family Health University College Medical School, urging them to embody the principles instilled during their education.

He emphasised the importance of letting their education manifest in their actions, encouraging them to strive for uniqueness, excellence, and innovation in their careers. "Success in life requires wisdom, experience, and expertise.

Consider quality, branding, and global impact, while also thinking about future generations and the well-being of others," he advised.

Speaking at the 2024 Matriculation and Graduation ceremony held at Family Health University College, located opposite the Kofi Annan Peacekeeping Training Centre in Teshie, Rev. Prof. P. F. Ayeh-Kumi commended the leadership of Prof. Yao Kwawukume and his team for their commendable efforts in advancing the institution.

Addressing the graduating class, he emphasised the evolving nature of the medical field, necessitating adaptability, compassion, and forward-thinking from professionals.

He urged them to approach patient care with empathy, recognising the uniqueness of each individual's needs.

Rev. Prof. P. F. Ayeh-Kumi stressed the importance of collaboration and interdisciplinary work in addressing the complex needs of patients, highlighting the role of future healthcare professionals in driving positive change.

For the incoming students, he acknowledged the dynamic nature of learning, urging them to embrace challenges with confidence and belief in their abilities.

He emphasised the power each individual holds to make a difference in the world.

In his welcome address, Prof. Yao Kwawukume outlined the significant developments within the institution, including infrastructure upgrades, enhanced student support services, and increased research activities.

He also addressed ongoing challenges such as accommodation issues for needy students and solicited support from stakeholders to address them.

Encouraging both graduates and matriculants to uphold core values of leadership, integrity, and inclusiveness, Prof. Kwawukume emphasised the importance of maintaining the institution's reputation through adherence to rules and regulations.

He celebrated the achievements made under the university's strategic plan and congratulated the graduating and incoming students for their hard work and dedication.

Notable recipients of awards included Mbanya Kamkeng, Naomi, who received multiple accolades for academic excellence, and Tang Jeron Peter, recognised for outstanding performance across various disciplines.

The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests including Dr. Susu Bridget Kwawukume, Founder/Chief Medical Director of Family Health Hospital, and Brig. Gen. Daniel Kwadjo Frimpong (RTD), Chairman of Council, among others.
