Educationist Dr. Peter Anti-Partey has called for the withdrawal of licenses for teachers caught aiding in exam malpractice.
His comments follow the arrest of three teachers at Bekwai in the Ashanti Region for aiding exam malpractice, along with two invigilators at Jinijini in the Bono region.
In an interview on JoyNews' The Pulse on Monday, July 8, he emphasized that consequences should extend beyond arrests.
According to him, when cases of exam malpractice go through police investigations, they often result in no significant outcomes.
"WAEC should make an official complaint to the National Teaching Council so that their licenses would be withheld," he stated.
Dr. Anti-Partey believes this measure would deter other teachers from engaging in exam malpractice, as they would risk their professional careers by doing so.
