Limitless Ghana Foundation, an NGO set up by a High School Student of the Lincoln Community School, Abelenkpe, has donated assorted items worth hundreds of Ghana cedis to persons living with disability in sport to ease their pain during the COVID 19 period.

The student, Arnav Nambiar, an Indian national, set up the NGO in 2018 at 16 years after he survived a car crash and was confined to a wheelchair.

Since then, he has been combining his education with fighting for the welbeing of people living with disability and promoting their advancement.

Following his devotion to the physically challanged group, the National Paralympic Committee appointed him as an ambassador for the Ghana Paralympic team ahead of the now postponed Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

And as part of helping his group, Nambiar presented a number of bags of rice, cooking oils, beverages to the National Paralympic Committee for onward distribution to the National  Paralympic athletes across the country.

Mr Nambiar, said he was committed to soliciting for more support for the physically-challanged to stay afloat as long as the pandemic persists.

He called on government and indeed the ministry of Youth and Sports to focus it's attention on such vulnerable groups especially the Paralympic athletes for support while they await the games which has been rescheduled for next year June.

The president of the Ghana Paralympic Committee, Mr Samson Deen, who received the items on behalf of the athletes expressed appreciation to the young donor urging corporate Ghana to support the National Paralympic Cause.

"The entire world is currently facing a global pandemic, unprecedented in the history of mankind. Families both rich and poor, under forced quarantine, some totally out of reached of love ones.

"Importantly the spirit of solidarity has been reignited and the power of help is visibly noticed and everywhere accepted on a scale unseen for decades," Mr Deen said.

He said this was an opportune time for a global humanitarian social challenge dubbed #BeSocialBeGreat under the auspices of Ghana Paralympic Committee to help support the disabled sports athletes across the nook and cranny of the country.

"The rules are the following:  Anyone can start a challenge independently (without any need to have been marked before) by posting under the #BeSocialBeGreat a photo or video (no matter whether Facebook, Instagram, Viber, VK, Twitter, WeChat, etc.) showing the flyers designed and approved by NPC-Ghana and tagging up to 10 friends," he added.
