The intensity, wit, and confidence from students across the Ashanti Region have heightened as the Round of 16 in the ongoing Luv FM High Schools Debate competition ends.
From dissecting Ghana’s education system to weighing the impact of betting and human appearances, the stage was set with topics that demanded more than just knowledge but conviction.
Eight schools have emerged victorious, securing their places in the quarter-finals: KNUST SHS, Our Lady of Grace SHS, Osei Adutwum SHS, T.I. AMASS, Kumasi, Prempeh College, St. Louis Girls SHS, St. Hubert Seminary, and defending champions, Kumasi High School.

Four of these schools: Kumasi High School, Church of Christ SHS, Our Lady of Grace, and St. Hubert Seminary, came into the season seeded from last year's semi-finals. Yet new challengers like Osei Adutwum and Barekese SHS have shaken things up with bold performances and unexpected wins.
Each team impressed judges and audience alike, tackling controversial motions like.
"The media has failed Ghana’s democracy”, “The 1 cedi per litre on fuel is a necessary evil”, and “Parents should choose career paths for their children”, with persuasive arguments and spirited rebuttals.

The quarter-finals pairings promise even greater showdowns:
Monday: KNUST SHS vs Our Lady of Grace
Tuesday: Prempeh College vs Osei Adutwum SHS
Wednesday: T.I. AMASS vs St. Louis Girls
Thursday: St. Hubert Seminary vs Kumasi High School
With the semi-finals looming, the stage is now set for even tighter clashes, sharper arguments, and thought-provoking debates. At the heart of it all are young minds reshaping national conversation.
