Popular Ghanaian actress, Lydia Forson has been announced as a Brand Ambassador for the prestigious Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAAs).
This is the first in the history of the awards ceremony, which recognizes unique talents on the African continent and pushes the frontiers of African film industry to the World.
The announcement was made in Lagos, Nigeria, Thursday December 19, afternoon at an event, attended by a number of stakeholders in the African Film industry, CEO and founder of the AMAAs, Peace Anyiam-Osigwe and the bubbly actress, Lydia Forson herself.
The AMAAs is a platform that projects the African film industry to Africa and the rest of the world. It is also described as a glamorous celebration of artistry honoring excellence in African Filmmaking and Cinema.
Lydia Forson, who has on one occasion won AMAA Best Actress Award, is the first to be openly named an AMAA Brand Ambassador, since its inception some ten years ago.
She was chosen because her brand represents what the Africa Movie Academy Awards is all about; quality and projecting Africa to the World.
She will among other activities represent AMAA on major platforms including international film festivals and others.
