The flagbearer contest at the National Democratic Congress (NDC) primaries appears to go according to plan for former President John Dramani Mahama.
Emerging provisional results so far suggest a landslide victory against his opponent, Kojo Bonsu.
Many, including Mahama’s campaign team, a good number of MPs, party officials and pollsters who touted him as the presumptive winner, projected a landslide for the former president seeking a return.
Election results of 118 out of 277 voting constituencies released at the Strong Room of the Electoral Commission had John Mahama polling 124,753 votes with Kojo Bonsu garnering 1,348 votes.
