President John Dramani Mahama is set to begin a nationwide tour from March 18 aimed at inspecting ongoing government projects and evaluating their progress across the country.
The initiative, known as the “Resetting Ghana Tour,” is designed to strengthen engagement between the government and citizens at the grassroots level, while also offering updates on key policies and development efforts.
The tour will kick off in the Bono Region, where the President will be joined by regional ministers, local government authorities, and other stakeholders to assess projects on the ground.
Speaking during a visit by Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang to the Office of Government Communications, Minister for Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, explained that the exercise will give the President a direct, first-hand view of ongoing developments nationwide.
According to him, the tour reflects the President’s belief that governance should go beyond official briefings at the seat of government.
Instead, he said, the President intends to personally lead efforts to “reset” the country by interacting with communities and assessing projects in person.
He added that the nationwide exercise will involve ministers, regional and district officials, as well as traditional leaders and opinion shapers, ensuring broad engagement with citizens while monitoring the progress of government initiatives.
