Malawi name 34-man provisional squad for Ghana return

Malawi have named a 34-man provisional squad as they begin preparing for next month’s second leg 2013 Afcon qualifiers against Ghana. The Flames host the Black Stars in Lilongwe with the intention of overturning a two-nil defeat suffered in the away leg and coach Kinah Phiri has already started preparations. The Flames start training this week as the team will be trimmed next week for the final preparations before the game. Amongst the players called up are 26 home based players and eight foreign based players as veteran striker Esau Kanyenda and ex-Orlando Pirates’ Chiukepo Msowoya return to the squad.
