Malawian Raphael Anthony Ramsy has been appointed the center referee for Ghana’s crucial 2014 World Cup qualifier against Sudan on Sunday.
The 36-year-old will be assisted on the lines by compatriots; Jones Chimeza and Clemence Kanduku for the game to be played in Kumasi.
Fellow Malawian Dennis Nguluwe will also be the fourth official for the crunch game.
Ramsy has already handled two games in the 2014 World Cup qualification series.
He was the man in charge when Burundi beat Lesotho 2-1 in the first preliminary round.
He also handled Ethiopia’s 2-0 win over the Central African Republic in June last year.
Ramsy has been a FIFA referee since 2008 but was not selected in the list of referees that officiated at the 2013 Nations Cup in South Africa.
The four officiating officials are expected to arrive in Ghana on Thursday – three clear days ahead of the game at the Baba Yara Stadium.
