A 30-year-old man has been murdered at Gomoa Budumburam popularly known as Liberia Camp over suspicions that he is a police informant.
Kwabena Sakyi met his untimely death after a Cameroonian stabbed him to death in broad daylight on Thursday.
According to sources, the suspect is unhappy the deceased has been passing information about happening in the camp as well as residents of the community to the police.
However, Ama Saakoah, sister of the diseased has rejected the claims.
She insists that her brother, a mobile phone dealer and a tax force officer, has never engaged in any activity that has ever compromised or invaded on the privacy of any of the residents in the community.
Meanwhile, the residents who are angered by the incident are on the lookout for the suspected Cameroonian who has escaped from a hospital he was receiving treatment from.
The angry residents are blaming the Buduburam Police for what has happened.
They called on government to find a lasting solution for the problem else they will also fight the foreigners in the Buduburam township
The suspect is on the run while the body has been deposited at St Gregory Catholic Hospital.
