Modernising digital education is my priority” – Newly appointed board member of Educational Communities Worldwide reveals.
Award-winning Digital Media Expert, Edward Asare has been appointed by Educational Communities Worldwide as a Board Member and Marketing Committee Chair.
The 11-member board is expected to lead Educom’s expansion across Africa.
In this role, Edward Asare is expected to spearhead Educom’s marketing, communication and strategy efforts in a bid to provide educational training and opportunities for students across the globe.
Speaking in an interview, Edward noted that his appointment dawns on the responsibility of contributing to a more modernized and industry-based education system in Ghana.
“The end-product of education must be either the establishment of a career or the continuation of industry and service – factors our educational system lacks. Modernising education is my priority and I deem this new role as the pivot to that,” he stated.
He added “It’s a privilege to work with Educom to develop initiatives and projects that support students especially in Africa. I have always wanted to give back to society. Educational Communities Worldwide has given me the opportunity to be part of something worthwhile.”
Educational Communities Worldwide is a non-profit organization aimed at harnessing the power of quality education in the fight against unemployment and skills gaps, primarily through sustainable tourism, knowledge transfer, and lifelong learning opportunities for all. To achieve this, Educom works closely with a global community of leaders who are committed to solving society’s most pressing challenges through innovation and technology.
Edward holds a degree in Economics with Information Studies from the University of Ghana, Legon. He brings on board over 4 years of experience in Digital Marketing, Public Relations, Brand Communications & Strategy, Public Speaking, Project Management and Blogging.
Over the past four years, Edward has worked with leading brands and businesses both locally and internationally. Edward is passionate about education, innovation and youth development.
