Rwandan Football Federation is set to benefit in building new stadiums from a partnership with the Moroccan football federation as the two parties have agreed.
The Federation of Royal Morocco Football (FRMF) has entered into an agreement with the Rwanda to build stadiums.
The SuperSport website in South Africa indicates that the partnership will see new stadiums in all Rwandan districts across the country which will be repayable between a periods of three to six years.
In a meeting at the Marriott Hotel in Kigali over the weekend between the two federations and district mayors, it was agreed that stadium for the war ravaged country will be built.
“We can agree to construct a 3000-seater stadium for each district and depending on its needs, we will be offering different options for the construction phases,” said FRMF'S Hajji Mouad.
“It is upon the districts to say that may be we need a playing turf installed first or construct all the stadium requirements at once from the stands to the dressing rooms and other facilities.
“So after knowing the different needs of each district, then the technical team from both parties (Rwanda and Morocco) will sit down to draw a timeline when to begin the construction process.”
Along with Architect Anouar Gueriri from Coter Terhrazaz Construction Company in Morocco, Mouad explained that construction would be down to each district or Government agency and according to their budget and plan of payment.
Furthermore, the Moroccan agency has built up to 63 artificial stadiums and five natural grass venues in the North African nation.
