The Ghana Highway Authority has cautioned motorists using the Accra-Aburi road to respect traffic regulations as repair works on the road begins.
Deputy Chief Executive in charge of maintenance at the Authority, Amin Baba Kassim Nuhu, said because the road is a dual carriageway, the Aburi, and the Aburi-Peduase Accra bound section will be closed at six O’clock Monday, June 27, 2016 for the repair work.
He disclosed to Joynews that because of the repair works, the Authority is going to “have a lot of traffic men signaling motorists on the road” to avoid any form of accident.
According to him, “once in a while when we know the work will hamper the use of the road, we may close the road for at least 30 minutes.”
He, however, noted the contractor is on site to put the Kitiase-Brekusu-Dome road in shape to serve as an alternative route.
