Four remaining Premier League contenders: Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak, Medeama and Amidaus Professionals are all pushing for a place in the finals as the Cup competition reaches the semi-final stage on Sunday.
For Kotoko and Medeama, their quest for the double this season continues as they are also in contention for the premiership title.
But the Porcupine Warriors, losing finalist will dread another Cup tie with Amidaus, who edged them out of last season's competition in the fourth round stage.
Kotoko play the Tema side at the Accra Sports Stadium in a game that they will be very keen on winning to avert another Cup setback at the hands of Amidaus, who are vying for their first major trophy.
The Kumasi side will be without defenders Rashid Sumaila and Joseph Ochaya who are on international duties with Ghana and Uganda while first choice goalkeeper Soulama Abdoulaye has joined the Burkina Faso’s squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers next week.
In the other match, Hearts of Oak will head to Kumasi, the home grounds of their dreaded rivals - Kotoko - for the last four game against Medeama at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Hearts who have been in fine form in the Premier League will be expected to replicate their winning run against the Tarkwa side.
But without Mahatma Otoo, on international assignment with Ghana, the Phobians will miss their top scorer this season.
Semi-final fixtures on June 2
Asante Kotoko v Amidaus - Accra
Medeama v Heart of Oak - Kumasi
