MTN Ghana has reaffirmed its long-standing commitment to preserving Ghana’s cultural heritage and fostering community development with a donation of GH¢30,000, airtime worth GH¢2,000, and a drinks hamper to support this year’s Asogli Yam Festival in Ho.
Speaking on behalf of MTN Ghana during the presentation, Mr Peter Bimpeh, Senior Manager for the Southeast Business District, said the company was proud to be part of the annual celebration, which continues to serve as a beacon of unity, gratitude, and cultural pride for the people of the Asogli State.
“MTN is delighted to join the people of Asogli to celebrate this year’s Yam Festival under the theme ‘Together in honesty and purpose, we build a just, peaceful, and prosperous nation.’ This theme reflects the very values we hold dear, integrity, unity, and collective growth,” Mr Bimpeh noted.
He lauded His Majesty, Agbogbomefia Togbe Afede XIV, for his visionary leadership in championing development, promoting good governance, and elevating the chieftaincy institution in Ghana and beyond. According to him, Togbe Afede’s relentless efforts in driving socio-economic transformation continue to inspire many across the country.
“His Majesty’s leadership and commitment to his people embody progress and purpose. We are proud to associate with his legacy of service and development,” he added.

Mr Bimpeh emphasised that the Yam Festival represents more than just a harvest celebration. It is a time of thanksgiving, unity, and renewal, and a reminder of the nation’s collective responsibility to foster honesty, peace, and prosperity.
He explained that MTN’s support for cultural festivals such as the Asogli Teza aligns with the company’s mission of connecting people and empowering communities through shared experiences.
“At MTN, we believe festivals are vital to preserving our cultural heritage and driving local economies. The commercial activities that accompany them stimulate businesses and create opportunities for many. This is why MTN Ghana supports over 40 festivals annually across the country,” he said.

As part of this year’s celebration, MTN announced plans to set up experiential centres at strategic locations in Ho to provide festivalgoers with easy access to MTN products and services, as well as on-site customer support.
Mr Bimpeh expressed MTN’s deep appreciation to the chiefs, elders, and people of the Asogli State for their enduring trust and loyalty to the MTN brand.
“Your confidence in us inspires our commitment to continue investing in your communities and improving the lives of Ghanaians through technology and innovation,” he said.
He concluded by wishing the chiefs and people of Asogli a successful and joyous festival, filled with peace, prosperity, and renewed unity.
