Multi-TV, Multimedia Group Limited's vibrant and educative television platform is setting its sights on developing talents in kids on its Kids Channel.
The channel has thus opened its doors to unearth and develop talented children.
In less than a year since its outdoor, Multi-TV is turning out the home of kids television programming for education and entertainment - and now intends to harness talents in children and to groom them.
This came to light Wednesday when Multi-TV, as part of its corporate social responsibility presented 20 digi-boxes and dishes worth GH¢4,000 to the SOS Village in Tema.
The donation, according to the Distribution and Marketing Manager for Multi-TV, Joseph Okona-Dedey who presented the items, was aimed at touching lives and also expanding the reach of the free-to-air world class channels on the Multi-TV platform.
Isaac Kojo Ackon, SOS Tema Village Director who received the items, expressed his delight at the kind gesture and said the Multimedia Group (MGL), the parent company of Multi-TV has always been a friend to the Village.
He said other SOS Villages across the country - Kumasi, Tamale and Asiakwa - will equally benefit from the donation.
Ms Abiko Banchi Eghagha, Channel Manager for Multi-TV 4 Kids, the channel dedicated to kids programmes, in an interview with Myjoyonline.com after the donation said the channel and station consider SOS villages as an important constituency that should also be served by the work.
Multi-TV 4 Kids in particular, she added, is a 24-hour channel deliberately chosen and developed with the child in mind and with productions from world-renowned production houses coupled with in-house productions, parents will have nothing to worry about the content consumed by their kids.
The channel, she said, has a policy to maintain a regularly cordial relationship with its audiences hence the new opening for kids to send in their own ideas to be developed.
Multi-TV was grateful to its distributors - Rowi Ltd., Syndicated Capital Ltd., Out Broadcast Ltd. and Somotex Ghana Ltd for supporting the occasion.
