The Eco Initiative focuses on providing immersive, hands-on environmental education experiences at Safari Valley Resort.

These day tours will allow basic and secondary school students to explore Ghana’s rich biodiversity, participate in conservation activities, and gain a deeper understanding of the country's pressing environmental challenges, such as water pollution, deforestation, and climate change.

At the core of the MGL/Safari Valley Eco Initiative is a commitment to fostering a lasting cultural shift toward environmental responsibility.

The program aims to not only enhance students' environmental knowledge but also equip them with critical thinking skills, foster positive attitudes toward conservation, and encourage pro-environmental behaviours.

The initiative is designed to reach a broad demographic, with 80% of participants from underprivileged public schools.

By focusing on students from disadvantaged backgrounds, the program ensures inclusivity and equal opportunity, bridging the gap in environmental education access.

Gender parity and accommodation for students with special needs are also central to the initiative’s structure.

In addition to the day tours, the program will be integrated into the school curriculum, providing teachers with preparatory and follow-up materials to reinforce environmental learning.

Community engagement is also a key feature, with plans to establish eco-clubs in participating schools and organise inter-school competitions to maintain student enthusiasm.
