The Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana (EFG) has successfully hosted the eight edition of the Global Business Brands Summit and Award 2024, honouring multinational and Ghanaian business brands that have met the required standard of quality from different economic sectors and most influential CEOs with exemplary leadership, business growth, corporate sustainability and a commitment to economic growth in Ghana.
The event, held under the theme ‘Celebrating Global Premium Quality Brands in Ghana’, took place in Accra.
About 31 brands and CEOs were honoured, the Founder and Chairman of McDan Group, Dr. Daniel McKorley; Founder and Chairman of Margins ID Group, Mr. Moses Baiden Jnr; Founder and Chairman of B5 PLUS Group, Mr. Mukesh V. Thakwani; Executive Chairman of JL Holdings, Dr. James Orleans-Lindsay; Chief Executive Officer of Bulk Energy Storage and Transportation Limited, Dr. Edwin Alfred Provencal; Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Export Promotion Authority, Osafohene Dr. Afua Asabea Asare I; Managing Director of Engen Ghana Limited, Mr. Brent Nartey; Chief Executive Officer of AlphaTND Limited, Mr. Pankaj Bhati and Managing Director of CFAO Ghana PLC, Mr. Adedamola Adelabu were all adjudged Most Influential CEOs of the Year 2023.

Premium brand awards were presented to Zenith Bank(Ghana) Limited as the Premium Multinational Banking Brand of the Year 2023; Jay Kay Industries & Investments Limited, Premium Paper, Printing & Packaging Brand of the Year 2023; M & G Pharmaceuticals Limited, Premium Pharmaceutical Company of the Year 2023; Ghandour Cosmetics Limited, Premium West African Cosmetic Brand of the Year 2023; OmniBSIC Bank Ghana Limited, Premium SME Banking Brand of the Year 2023; MDS-Lancet Laboratories Ghana Limited, Premium Medical Diagnostic Brand of the Year 2023 and Can-West Limited as the Premium IT Equipment Distributor Brand of the Year. Interplast Limited won the Premium West African Pipes & Plastics Brand of the Year 2023 while B5 Plus Group received the Premium West African Iron & Steel Brand of the Year 2023.

Other brands awarded include GOIL PLC Super Synthetic 5W-30 Oil as the Premium Synthetic Engine Oil Brand of the Year 2023; Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) Prestige Service, Premium Digital Transformation Service Brand of the Year 2023; Nataraj Stationery Brand, Premium Stationery Brand of the Year 2023; Amaron Car Battery, Premium Automobile Battery Brand of the Year 2023; Yokohama Tire, Premium Automobile Tire Brand of the Year 2023; Haier Electronics, Product of the Year 2023; Talgentis Tablets, Premium Pharmaceutical Product of the Year 2023; Fairafric Organic Chocolates, Premium Organic Chocolate Brand of the Year 2023; Flora Tissues, Premium Paper Tissue Brand of the Year 2023 and Top Choco Chocolate Spread and Drinks as the Premium Confectionary Brand of the Year 2023. SoldierMentholated Balm won the Premium Mentholated Balm Brand of the Year 2023 while JRA Lion Plus Antiseptic Disinfectant and JRA Bathing Gel Soap received the Premium Antiseptic Brand of the Year 2023 and the Premium Bathing Gel Soap Brand of the Year 2023 respectively.
Present at the event were some dignitaries and diplomats including the President of Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana, Mr. Sam Ato Gaisie; Lebanese Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Maher Kheir; Australian High Commissioner, H.E. Ms. Berenice Owen-Jones; Senior Policy Advisor at the Office of the Vice President, Prof. Kwaku Appiah-Adu; Chief Executive Officer of Lindsay Capital Limited, Mr. Robert Ahomka-Linday; National Coordinatorof African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Coordination Office, Dr. Fareed Kwesi Arthur; Commercial Counsellor from the Turkish Embassy, Mr. Talha Tol and the Country Director from the UK’s Department for Business and Trade at the British High Commission, Ms. Giselle Agyare.
