It was a weekend of four hot shows this Easter. Hill City's "My wife or my life" was indeed a masterpiece and a breath of fresh air.
The reception at the foyer would make one think it was a romantic setting for love birds; then, a sneak peek into the auditorium reveals a stage setting of class with a great ambience welcoming everyone to a night of intriguing stage play.
Patrons expressed deep emotion, laughed helplessly and cheered on the casts as they were thrilled with the excellent performance and phenomenal music from the live band.
The CEO of Hill City, Manny Somuah, expressed profound gratitude to patrons for their support, promising that there will be more shows in the coming months.
He also called on more corporate bodies to support the theatre and the creative arts as it is one way of bringing the family together and telling our stories on a live stage.
"My Wife or My Life" was an intriguing stage play themed on forgiveness, family unity and love.
It featured your favourite comic actors; Clemento Suarez, Jeneral Ntatia, Bright Kekeli Jefferson and other prolific actors such as Edinam Atatsi, Gadede, Chaana, Jude Korankye, Jo Ann and others.
In partnership with Joy Entertainment, Hill City Productions made its groundbreaking entry into the theatre space with its maiden play titled, “My Wife or My Life”.
The attendance, feedback and love from patrons were overwhelming for a maiden show.
Most people were excited they came and opined that the show should be regular, as such thought-through content is needed to help build a better Ghana.
