The National Inspectorate Board (NIB) now National Schools Inspectorate Authority (NaSIA) has asked owners of all pre-tertiary education institutions to register their schools by end of February 2021.
According to a statement signed by the Executive Director, Dr Haggar Hilda Ampadu the directive has become necessary since the new Education Regulatory Bodies Act 2020 (Act 1023) has made it a requirement.
She noted that for institutions which were established before the coming of the new reform, owners must file for registration within six months of the coming into force of the Act.
And for schools which will be established after the coming of the reform must within six months of its establishment, register with the Authority.
Schools can register on the website of the Board.
The new Education Regulatory Bodies Act 2020 (Act 1023) was passed on Friday, August 21, is to guide the activities of all regulatory bodies under the Ministry of Education.
The law, has also transitioned the National Inspectorate Board (NIB) into the National Schools Inspectorate Authority (NaSIA).
