Weeks of investigations by Joy News have confirmed what was feared to be systematic fraud perpetuated by a well-coordinated network of corrupt NYEP officials. In part one of this series, which aired on Tuesday, Manasseh Azure Awuni reported the existence of ghost and duplicate names on the NYEP payroll. In part two, which we ran Wednesday, he uncovered how some NYEP officials connived with bank officials to siphon money from the NYEP accounts into private accounts. In part 3 today, Manasseh reveals what appear to be deliberate attempts by some National Security operatives and officials of the Ministry of Youth and Sports to shield the perpetrators of the alleged malfeasance from prosecution.
