The NDC Chairman in the Ahanta West Constituency of the Western Region, Paul Gyimah has invoked the power of a deity on party members in his constituency.
Mr. Gyimah claimed the NDC executives in the constituency have accused him of masterminding the removal from office of the Ahanta West DCE, Jones Armah.
As a sign to prove his innocence, he invoked the power of the deity on his accusers.
“All my accusers will attract the wrath of the gods in Ahantaman, because I am innocent of their accusations," the Mr. Gyimah told Adom News.
The Ahanta West NDC Chairman told Adom News that he will not succumb to pressure from any quarters to rescind the invocation.
Mr. Paul Gyimah maintained he has been helping the party since the PNDC/NDC era and it came to him as a shock, for his own people to accuse him of not campaigning for the party in the last elections.
Meanwhile, the Youth Organizer for the Ahanta West Constituency, Gabriel Yankey who is among those accusing the Chairman claimed the Mr Gyimah did not take active part in the party's activities during the campaign period, insisting that the chairman spearheaded the removal of the DCE.
Meanwhile, a spiritualist in Nsawam in the Eastern Region, Alhaji Akanayo Konkronko has downplayed the impact of the spell.
He told Adom News a deity cannot work when imposed on a group.
In a related development, the chief and people of Ahantaman, as well as party officials have made a passionate appeal to president Mills to reinstate the DCE, Mr. Jones Armah.
