Staff of Vivo Energy Ghana Limited (VEGH), the company that distributes and markets Shell-branded fuels and lubricants, have paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Atukpai, Nii Tetteh Tsuru and his elders at his private residence in Accra.
The delegation included the Corporate Communications Manager of VEGH, Mrs. Shirley Tony Kum, the Human Resources Manager, Mrs. Philomena Cobbinah, the HR Business Support Manager, Mr. Frank Konadu Acheampong and other members of staff.
The visit was to officially introduce the new Managing Director, Mr. Fred Nyakagwa Osoro, a Kenyan, to the Chief of Atukpai on whose land Vivo Energy Ghana office is located.

In his remarks, Mr. Fred Osoro expressed appreciation to the Chief and his elders for their support over the years and hoped to enjoy the same cooperation during his tenure of office. He reaffirmed the vision of the company to be the most respected Energy Business in Africa and promised to collaborate effectively with all stakeholders to realize this vision.
“Ghanaians are nice people and my family and I are already enjoying the fine hospitality of the Ghanaian Society”, Fred Osoro said.
The Corporate Communications Manager of Vivo Energy Ghana, Shirley Tony Kum also touched briefly on the focus areas of Vivo Energy in terms of Community Investment: environment, education and road safety.
She said a community investment plan had been developed with focus on those three areas, while assuring that Vivo Energy Ghana will work with all relevant stakeholders to ensure the socio-economic development of local communities and the nation as a whole.
The Chief of Atukpai, Nii Tetteh Tsuru, in his speech assured Fred Osoro and his team of the stool's cooperation and expressed hope that his tenure of office deepens the existing relationship between the Atupai Stool and Vivo Energy Ghana.
