Odododiodoo MP Nii Lante Vanderpuye is accusing some operatives of the National Security Secretariat of brutalising him.
According to the former Sports Minister, two operatives accompanied by 10 others attacked him in front of the James Town Police station.
He said he had gone to the police station to secure bail for a journalist who had been arrested while working for him.

Mr Vanderpuye told JoyNews' Joseph Ackah-Blay that he had deployed the journalist to take pictures of some projects he had undertaken in his constituency but later learned he had been arrested.
He said upon hearing the news he was troubled so he headed to the police station to intervene.
The legislator claims that upon his arrival at the James Town Police Station, 12 persons from the National Security some of whom had guns by their sides approached him and hit him in the chest.
They asked him to leave the area and proceeded to land slaps and punches on his face.
Mr Vanderpuye said it took the intervention of the police to stop the operatives from further assaulting him.

“The police should be able to tell why they arrested my cameraman who had gone to just take a picture of a project I am undertaking for the people,” he said.
The former Sports Minister said, “I’m sad but I’m not broken...I’m still strong.”
Nii Lante Vandepuye who is disgusted by the incident added, “I know I have a God who lives.”Â
The incumbent MP thanked the National Democratic Congress (NDC), chiefs and his constituents for their kind words and support since news about the incident broke.
“Yesterday when the incident happened, without any call, thousands of people who came out at that time of the night, followed up to the police station to the hospital and even some of them wanting to follow me to the house, is enough encouragement to me,” he said.
